Sarah Muir has been cooking for rock royalty for over twenty years. As a classically trained cook, she has worked in every corner of the world creating and serving food that meets the most demanding and exacting of standards.



We believe at The Arches we are a bit different from other cookery schools. For a start, we are based in a converted barn at Grinkle Park Farm on my brother Richards working farm, the farm also accomadates my sister Paddy,s successful Eventing yard and not forgetting mum who grows all our vegetables and herbs we use in the cookery school.

We delight in bringing you some great recipes from the places we holiday, all those sun packed flavours of the Med and beyond.

The day starts with morning tea and coffee in the demo kitchen, followed by the demonstration of all the dishes we will be cooking. Full hands on cooking through out the day.

Lunch is all the gorgeous dishes that are demonstrated. All the dishes you create you take home to showcase your beautiful dishes and newfound skills.

How about spending the day with your other half, forget the kids, work and the pressures of life and me to the Arches you get to work opposite your partner and cook together which never happens.

You can be as competitive as you like or work as the perfect team, you will rustle up a selection of delicious seasonal starters, mains and finishing with dessert.

Tea parties have come back into fashion in a big way and so they should. An afternoon tea party ,what better!

Classic cakes and savories make great afternoon delights. We will make and decorate all our vintage tea cakes and savories and display them on our beautiful vintage cake stands, just to show how fantastic your tea party can look .
